Friday Night Ops - ZKC Style - December 10, 2009

Don't forget virtual Kansas City ARTCC will be hosting Friday Night Ops at Kansas City International Airport on Firday, December 18, 2009.  The event is scheduled to run from 0000z to 0400z (6p to 10p CT).  There are still plenty of positions open, so be sure to make your reservations now!

Event Sign-Ups - December 10, 2009
Event sign-ups are located in the Events section under the Pilots drop-down menu. This is a controller secure area of the website, so you must be logged in to use this feature. You'll see a link to the event sign-ups located at the bottom of each event. The positions we hope to fill will be listed and you may sign-up for any vacant position, keeping in mind the following restrictions -
  • If staffing a position serving a major or LCTP facility, you must be certified for that position;
  • Otherwise, you may work any position for which you are rated.
Please e-mail a ZKC Team member if you have any issues with sign-ups.
 
Virtual UAL - Home for the Holidays - December 10, 2009

On Saturday, December 19, 2009, Virtual United (UAL) will be hosting their "Home for the Holidays" event at Chicago O'Hare.  Expect lots of traffic from UAL and other virtual airlines as they fly in and out of Chicago.  We would like to staff at least a Center, and KC and/or STL APP.  Our close proximity to ZAU makes us a prime location for those desiring a flight of 1 - 2 hours.  Event time is 2300z to 0300z (5p to 9p CT).  Let's support ZAU in this, one of the last major events for this year!
